Delphine Dora et Anaïs Tuerlincx tracent chacune à leur manière, une voie singulière, à travers leur usage personnel qu’elles ont chacune du piano.
Anaïs Tuerlincx a une approche sculpturale et physique du son, nourrissant depuis quelques années un intérêt fort pour la musique bruitiste et réductionniste à travers son exploration du hors-champ du piano (travail sur le cadre et les cordes). Ses performances sont caractérisées par un son bruitiste, portées par la matérialité, mais en même temps aéré et spacieux.
Delphine Dora quant à elle, a une approche intuitive de la musique pour instruments à clavier (piano, orgue…), ayant exploré différentes approches créant un univers musical élargi avec des influences allant de la musique folk, la musique improvisée, la musique ancienne, la musique expérimentale, la musique concrète… Le travail de la voix est également une constante dans son travail et dans la plupart de ses projets, une passion pour la mélodie et le chant. Sa musique inclassable et intuitive est une sorte de pont entre l’improvisation et la composition, le présent et les temps archaïques, la poésie et l’indicible, la physicalité du son et la spiritualité. Sa pratique musicale est ouverte au hasard, à l’altérité, aux collaborations.
Delphine Dora et Anaïs Tuerlinckx, deux pianistes singulières collaborent ici en abandonnant leur instrument de prédilection, pour perturber la musique de l’autre de l’intérieur en construisant un espace sonore radical aux confins de la musique improvisée, bruitiste et électroacoustique et de la poésie sonore. Delphine Dora utilise ici boucles, multipistes, effets divers pour augmenter et distordre sa voix et créer un effet désorientant et hypnotique tandis qu’Anaïs Tuerlinckx produit des clusters et sonorités bruitistes, attaques, résonances avec sa boîte à cordes. Cette recherche se nourrit de leur intérêt partagé pour la physicalité du son, une approche abstraite de la musique mais aussi sur leur contraste de leur approche.
La musique du duo principalement improvisée, privilégiant une approche spontanée prend pour appui le jeu sur la dialectique entre l’exploration de zones de friction entre bruitisme et abstraction, mais aussi le goût pour les textures sonores, la frontière entre la musicalité des mots et la glossolalie, la matérialité et les « fragments » de mélodies qui se télescopent et se contaminent. Une recherche subtile autour de la matérialité du son et sa transformation, de la gestuelle, des sons musicaux et extra-musicaux, jeu sur le réductionnisme, dépouillement de jeu, allié à un travail hypnotique autour de la voix et champs de conscience altéré.
INTERVENTION DU COLLECTIF UBLIK (BE)
UBLIK est un collectif féminin de danseuses implanté à Liège et actif à géométrie variable depuis 2019. Nous pratiquons l'improvisation en danse : chaque mouvement est un choix qui marque un positionnement par rapport au groupe, au public et à l’environnement au sens large. À travers l’improvisation, entre inattendu, écoute et spontanéité, chacune trouve son identité et son individualité au sein du groupe.

Delphine Dora and Anaïs Tuerlinckx each carve out their own unique path through their personal approach to the piano.
Anaïs Tuerlinckx takes a sculptural and physical approach to sound, having developed a strong interest in noise music and reductionism in recent years through her exploration of the piano's off-screen (working with the frame and strings). Her performances are characterized by a noisy sound, grounded in materiality, yet at the same time airy and spacious.
Delphine Dora, on the other hand, has an intuitive approach to music for keyboard instruments (piano, organ…), having explored different approaches to create an expanded musical universe influenced by folk music, improvised music, early music, experimental music, concrete music… The use of voice is also a constant in her work and in most of her projects, as she has a passion for melody and singing. Her inimitable and intuitive music serves as a bridge between improvisation and composition, the present and archaic times, poetry and the unspeakable, the physicality of sound and spirituality. Her musical practice is open to chance, otherness, and collaboration.
Delphine Dora and Anaïs Tuerlinckx, two distinctive pianists, collaborate here by abandoning their instrument of choice, disturbing each other's music from within, and constructing a radical sound space at the intersection of improvised music, noise music, electroacoustic music, and sound poetry. Delphine Dora uses loops, multi-tracks, and various effects to amplify and distort her voice, creating a disorienting and hypnotic effect, while Anaïs Tuerlinckx produces clusters and noisy sounds, attacks, and resonances with her string box. This research is nourished by their shared interest in the physicality of sound, an abstract approach to music, as well as the contrast in their respective methods.
The duo's music, mostly improvised, favors a spontaneous approach and focuses on the dialectic between the exploration of friction zones between noise and abstraction, as well as a taste for sound textures, the boundary between the musicality of words and glossolalia, materiality, and the “fragments” of melodies that collide and contaminate each other. It’s a subtle exploration of the materiality of sound and its transformation, gesture, musical and extra-musical sounds, a play on reductionism, stripping down the playing, combined with a hypnotic approach to voice and altered states of consciousness.
INTERVENTION BY THE COLLECTIVE UBLIK (BE)
UBLIK is a female dance collective based in Liège, active with a variable geometry since 2019. We practice improvisation in dance: each movement is a choice that marks a positioning in relation to the group, the audience, and the environment in a broader sense. Through improvisation, between the unexpected, listening, and spontaneity, each member finds their identity and individuality within the group.
