FŒHN ♦ n. m. du suisse-allemand Föhn, prononcé [føːn] ♦ 1° Vent du sud,

violent, sec et chaud, qui descend les vallées septentrionales des Alpes et provoque de brusques élévations de température, tout en laissant l’atmosphère très dégagée. ♦ 2° Sèche-cheveux électrique (suisse romand). ♦ 3° Duo de poésie sonore formé par Catherine Barsics (voix) et Hanna Kölbel (violoncelle).

Catherine Barsics est poétesse et performeuse. Ses livres explorent les zones de friction entre les genres — poésie et narration, poésie et thriller (Disparue, 2019 ; finaliste aux Prix CoPo et CoPo des Lycéens 2021, au Prix Marcel Thiry 2021, au  Prix triennal de poésie en langue française de la FWB 2023), poésie et bande dessinée (Plages, 2025). Ses performances hybrides mettent en jeu une poésie d’oralité, non publiée : une langue incarnée, traversée par le souffle et le mouvement. Elle y creuse toujours davantage les sillons d’un ancrage transdisciplinaire : sa poésie s’entremêle étroitement à la musique (N E I G E, avec Tom Malmendier ; le trio Craque avec Tom et Nicolas Puma), la danse (par ex. avec le collectif Ublik) ou prend la forme d’interventions dans des expositions d’art contemporain, dans une perspective de résonance (New Space, OYOU, Les Brasseurs, Zentrale für Kunst und Kultur, CIAV…). Membre d’L-SLAM et de Substance Collective, elle traque avant tout la justesse dans l’instantanéité.

Hanna Kölbel est violoncelliste, interprète, compositrice et curatrice : « Mon terrain de prédilection se situe à l'intersection de la musique nouvellement créée, de l'interprétation et de la performance, ainsi que de la mise en scène. Je m'intéresse à la théâtralité de la musique. Mettre en scène un son, l'appréhender avec tous les sens, se confronter à la musique au moment où elle résonne et où le public l'entend, je trouve cela passionnant. » Hanna Kölbel est une musicienne allemande de violoncelle baroque et moderne, ainsi qu'une expérimentatrice sonore et électronique, tout autant qu'une performeuse théâtrale. Elle réside à Liège, en Belgique, et joue régulièrement en tant que musicienne invitée dans de nouvelles créations et collaborations interdisciplinaires avec ICTUS-Ensemble (« Sound and Body », 2023) et LOD muziektheater (« Woman at point zero », 2022-2024). Elle est co-autrice du spectacle « Dans les bois », de Charlotte Bouriez, pour jeune public.

FŒHN ♦ n. m. from Swiss German Föhn, pronounced [føːn] ♦ 1° A southern wind, violent, dry, and warm, that descends the northern valleys of the Alps and causes sudden rises in temperature, while leaving the atmosphere very clear. ♦ 2° Electric hair dryer (Swiss French).♦ 3° A sound poetry duo formed by Catherine Barsics (voice) and Hanna Kölbel (cello).

Catherine Barsics is a poet and performer. Her books explore the friction zones between genres — poetry and narrative, poetry and thriller (Disparue, 2019; finalist for the CoPo Prize and the CoPo des Lycéens Prize 2021, the Marcel Thiry Prize 2021, and the Triennial Prize for Poetry in French of the FWB 2023), poetry and comics (Plages, 2025). Her hybrid performances engage with an unpublished, oral poetry: an embodied language, carried by breath and movement. She continues to deepen the furrows of a transdisciplinary approach: her poetry intertwines closely with music (N E I G E, with Tom Malmendier; the trio Craque with Tom and Nicolas Puma), with dance (e.g. with the collective Ublik), or takes the form of interventions in contemporary art exhibitions, in a perspective of resonance (New Space, OYOU, Les Brasseurs, Zentrale für Kunst und Kultur, CIAV…). A member of L-SLAM and Substance Collective, she above all seeks accuracy in immediacy.

Hanna Kölbel is a cellist, performer, composer, and curator: “My favorite ground lies at the intersection of newly created music, interpretation and performance, as well as staging. I am interested in the theatricality of music. To stage a sound, to apprehend it with all the senses, to confront music at the very moment it resonates and the audience hears it — I find this fascinating.” Hanna Kölbel is a German musician on both baroque and modern cello, as well as a sonic and electronic experimenter, and a theatrical performer. She lives in Liège, Belgium, and regularly performs as a guest musician in new creations and interdisciplinary collaborations with ICTUS-Ensemble (Sound and Body, 2023) and LOD muziektheater (Woman at Point Zero, 2022–2024). She is co-author of the show Dans les bois by Charlotte Bouriez, for young audiences.
